Synoptic Situation A frontal band clears into the N Sea as a ridge of high pressure builds from the W.
Wind W fresh or strong in the W & NW, S Fresh in the SE, NW fresh in the SW and NE.
Weather A band of rain, sleet and snow continues to move eastwards lying over southeastern England by dawn. Significant accumulations of snow are likely, particularly in eastern and central Britain. Clearer conditions will follow from the northwest, giving widespread ice and some fog patches.
